Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy is a general, plain-language summary provided for transparency — it is not legal advice. If you have any questions about how your data is handled, please email our contact form before relying on it.

FilmYourSite (“FilmYourSite,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) turns a website URL or a text prompt into a short launch video. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal data.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from your Google account to create and secure your FilmYourSite account. We do not receive your Google password.

Content you create

We store the projects and videos you generate, along with their inputs — the website URL or prompt you submit, brand assets pulled from your site (logo, colors, screenshots), generated scene plans, narration scripts, voiceover audio, and rendered video files. This lets you return to, edit, re-render, and download your work.

Payment information

Paid plans are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects and stores your payment card details — we never receive or store full card numbers. We retain limited billing metadata (plan, subscription status, invoices) to operate your account.

Usage & technical data

We collect basic technical information such as IP address, browser/device type, and product usage (for example, how many generations or renders you run) to run, secure, meter, and improve the service.

2. How we use your information

3. Third-party services (subprocessors)

To provide the service we share the minimum data necessary with trusted providers that process it on our behalf:

These providers act as our processors and are bound to use the data only to perform their services. Their own handling of data is governed by their respective privacy policies.

4. AI processing of your content

To generate a video, the inputs you provide (your URL or prompt, scraped brand content, and narration text) are sent to the AI providers listed above solely to produce your output. Do not submit content you are not authorized to process, or that you would not want handled by these providers.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. We disclose information only: (a) to the subprocessors above to run the service; (b) if required by law or valid legal process; (c) to protect the rights, safety, and security of FilmYourSite, our users, or the public; or (d) in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you and any successor will remain bound by this policy.

6. Data retention

We keep your account data and content for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual projects at any time, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Some records (for example, billing history) may be retained as required for legal, tax, or accounting purposes. Backups are purged on a rolling schedule.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures — encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at our contact form. You can also delete your projects directly in the app.

9. Cookies

We use cookies and similar local storage strictly to keep you signed in and to remember preferences (such as your light/dark theme). We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

10. Children

FilmYourSite is not intended for anyone under 16 (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. International transfers

Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers. By using the service, you understand your data may be processed in these locations.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here with a new “Last updated” date, and for material changes we will provide additional notice where appropriate.
